Personal liability protection, also called "the corporate veil". An LLC protects owners from being personally accountable for business liabilities or debts. A Doing Business As Name (DBA) doesn't.

LLC and Corporation business structures offer personal liability protection, the "corporate veil".  By forming a DBA or a Partnership, you are simply securing the business name, but don't get the "corporate veil" of protection.

Most business owners act as their own registered agent. However, if you have an out-of-state address, or want to name an outside person or business entity to act as the registered agent, NFS US can appoint an agent on your behalf for an annual fee ($99/year).

Most states require that an LLC or Corporation be renewed every year by filing an Annual or Periodic Report, however some states dont require LLC's to renew. Most DBA's also need to be renewed annually, biannually or every 5 years. Missing a renewal date usually costs an additional filing fee. Our team will help insure you never miss a filing deadline.
